Such a big boy!

This is where we're getting our money's worth with daycare. He definitely seems to have picked this up there because we never make him sit at the table. More often than not he's trying to climb up his high chair when he needs to eat something (and don't forget the bib!) Ryker likes sitting at the table once in a while and definitely likes using utensils. In this picture, he just plopped himself down at the table to eat his snack.

Thankfully he's not falling asleep while eating like some other people we know...

When all else fails...

There are some days where Ryker just seems to have worn out his toys and is completely bored. Of course these days fall on days where I'm really busy working and as much as I want to, I can't stop every two minutes to find something new to entertain him. Because we are currently using the pack n play as a toy box, sometimes I find that just tipping that over so he can see every little toy and cheerio that he's thrown in there over the past few months. This will occupy him for at least an hour. Why don't I do it more often, then? Because it's for emergencies only!! I need it to last an hour every time I dump that thing over! Kendyll will be needing the pack n play soon now that she's sitting up better on her own, so I guess it's time to find a new home for many of his toys.

Play Time!

Dad has been in charge of finding a great park for Ryker. Here are some pictures of one park. Ryker gets to play on equipment at daycare so it's not foreign to him, but his teacher said he doesn't seem to like the swings much. I guess he only likes them when dad's around.
Unfortunately, there's only one small park within walking distance so dad has been taking Ryker driving around town to find the best playground. Right now the playground du jour is Colby Lake (not in these pictures).

More cuteness

What can I say. She just can't help it that she's so dang cute.

Happy 4 Month Birthday Kendyll!!

How the time flies! Kendyll's personality is starting to really shine. She really loves to smile and is starting to giggle once in a while. She does a good job grabbing things and is finding interest in the doo-dads that are on her jumperoo now. She's even figured out how to spin a couple things. She can't sit up on her own yet, but I think it will be soon. She's trying!

She doesn't have her official 4 month weigh-in for another week, but at home she's measuring 21 pounds. That's one pound more than Ryker at this age! Considering she was a pound less than him at birth, she seems to be set on beating Ryker whenever she can! :)

She's drooling a lot and I can see the faintest hint of her bottom two teeth. These kids don't stay toothless for long, do they?! I just hope teething isn't as hard on her as it has been for Ryker - who seems to finally be done teething...until he's 6 or 7 anyway.

Kendyll is a hungry girl. We'd like to feed her more solids, but she seems to be perfectly fine with her bottle (every 2 hours!). So she's not sleeping through the night yet, but she does still give me the occasional 6-7 hours. Now, if I just went to bed at 8:00 pm I could make a lot of use out of that time!

Goofball

I just happened to look over and Ryker was putting Kendyll's bib on his head. Ends up he was trying to put it on. He's pretty adamant about wearing his bib when it's time to eat, so maybe he was trying to tell me he was hungry.

Fun Rain Day!

We really need the rain here, but even more Ryker just needed to get outside! The rain let up enough that the big guy could sport his rain jacket and new boots and splash around in puddles!
